Started in the year 2004 with the first batch of 16 students pursuing Masters of Physiotherapy in Neurology & Musculoskeletal, this institute has grown immensely with the introduction of many other courses. The passing years bear testimony to the development of the institute as a centre of excellence.

Created under the aegis of Indian Spinal Injuries Centre (ISIC), the institute serves as its education wing. ISIC is a national leader in the medical care and rehabilitation of spinal cord injuries. In fact it is the most advanced super specialty hospital cum rehab centre in South Asia. Sprawled on 15 acres of land, surrounded by lush greens, it is situated near the international airport, New Delhi.

ISIC Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences (IIRSc) seeks professional excellence through ethics, passion, purposefulness and commitment and is recognized for its excellent quality of research oriented teaching and patient exposure. The guiding philosophy behind the Institute's academic activities is to inculcate professionalism and to enhance the effectiveness of an organization.

IIRSc boasts of its first class facilities which includes well equipped resource centre with computer labs, extensive printed and electronic resources, practical labs, spacious well lit lecture rooms, an auditorium for lectures and conference.
